Bazoumana Toure’s first day at Newcastle - Behind the scenes footage of £43m signing
Newcastle United completed their second signing of the summer on Sunday, bringing in Bazoumana Toure from Hoffenheim.
The Ivory Coast international flew to Tyneside to complete his move shortly after they were knocked out of the World Cup by Norway.
Speaking to the Newcastle United website, Toure spoke about how he was keen to join Newcastle and opted to make the move to Tyneside over several other clubs.
The signing of Bazoumana Toure is the second time Newcastle has brought in a player from Hoffenheim, and each time was their record sale. The previous being Joelinton in 2019.

Shortly after announcing the deal was complete, Newcastle United posted a video online of Bazoumana Toure's first day on Tyneside, as they often do with new signings. The video shows the 20-year-old landing at Newcastle airport and being taken to the KNOX training ground sporting director Ross Wilson was waiting to greet him.
Performance director James Bunce was also there waiting to whisk Toure into see the medical team for his assessment.
We see Toure undergoing a few medical tests before being given the tour of the KNOX and St James' Park, both of which are undergoing some renovations ahead of the new season. There's also a brief segment showing behind the scenes of Toure's photoshoot and interview wearing the new shirt - which by the way, looks so much better with a sponsor on it.

Known for his lightning-quick pace, Bazoumana Toure feels like the perfect replacement for Anthony Gordon, who joined Barcelona for £70 million last month.
The Ivorian racked up five goals and 12 assists in 30 Bundesliga outings last season, and if he can hit the ground running at Newcastle, we're not going to miss Gordon in the slightest.
From what we've seen of Toure so far, he has the exact profile and playing style to be a massive hit at Newcastle. As long as he, and anyone else we bring in this summer, are able to integrate quicker than last year's additions, we'll be laughing.
