Newcastle sign Sam Alabi - Official photo from St James’ Park

Newcastle have sealed the signing of Sam Alabi after the young midfielder was pictured taking photographs holding the shirt at St James’ Park.

Alabi - a box to box midfielder formerly of Oldham - will join up with Under-15s or Under-16s soon, with the hopes of developing over the coming years and trying to force his way into the first team. 

After seeing the likes of Lewis Miley shine in pre-season, it has hopefully given Alabi and our academy players the drive and motivation to try and push their way to the top. See the official photo of him at SJP below:

Newcastle are also looking to sign Southend’s young striker Kacey Wooster, as our drive to seek out the best young players continues. 

Dan Ashworth has made improving the academy an absolute priority, hoping that we will one day be recognised as one of the best clubs in world for developing young talent.
