Newcastle preparing two-year offer to keep player on Tyneside until 2026 - The Telegraph
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle United look set to offer Miguel Almiron a new contract as a reward for the Paraguayan's superb form this season.
With the club aware of the interest he will attract following his superb form in front of goal - which has seen him score six goals in our opening 12 games - it's believed a two-year extension will be offered to the attacker.
The contract would keep him at the club until 2026, not only protecting his value but ruling out any potential move away next year, handing the player and his family long-term assurances on Tyneside.
The Telegraph's Luke Edwards adds that the 28-year-old is now considered 'one of the key men' in Eddie Howe's squad, with his vast improvement in the final third adding to his pace, energy and ability to press from the front.
It's believed Callum Wilson has also been rewarded with a new deal by the club's Saudi-backed owners, with reports suggesting that Bruno Guimaraes will be offered improved terms to keep him at the club amid interest from Chelsea, Real Madrid and Liverpool.
