New report reveals 'early indications' on four Newcastle injury concerns - Good and bad news
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle believe Allan Saint-Maximin, Miguel Almiron and Callum Wilson should all be fit for Saturday's clash with Liverpool.
Howe has already confirmed that Wilson's hamstring issue is a minor one, while the 'early indications' suggest Almiron and Saint-Maximin did NOT suffer any serious damage after being forced off in our frustrating 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.
The not so good news, however, is that Joe Willock now faces a 'race against time' to be fit for the Carabao Cup final next Sunday, with some fearing the former Arsenal man could be in trouble.
Luke Edwards reveals that the midfielder wasn't able to train all week leading up to the game - making it a slightly surprise that he even started the game on the South Coast.
Back to the positive news, the report adds that Almiron has not broken any bones in his hand and will be OK to play this weekend, while Saint-Maximin suffered a 'heavy whack' and 'bruising' - not a muscle strain or bone fracture.
So, Almiron, ASM and Wilson will be available for selection this Saturday, however the early signs suggest Willock is already a doubt for next Sunday's final after aggravating a hamstring issue.
