'Gutted' - Injured Lewis Miley breaks silence on Newcastle setback
Lewis Miley's season ended early once again as the young Newcastle United star broke his leg in training.
Newcastle's 19-year-old ace hasn't had the best of times with injuries since he broke into the first team under Eddie Howe.
His breakthrough season ended with him suffering from a back injury that kept him out from March to the end of the season, and through much of pre-season too, as Eddie Howe was extra cautious with the youngster.
The following season, a fractured metatarsal kept him out of action for three months, and then this season, the infamous 'dead leg' he picked up against Paris Saint-Germain kept him out of 13 games before his latest freak injury, breaking his fibula after an innocuous incident on the training pitch.
Lewis Miley says he will be 'back stronger'
Eddie Howe insists that Miley will be back for pre-season, but whether he'll be ready for the start of it remains to be seen. He doesn't have the best record of hitting his return targets.
Miley has now broken his silence on his latest setback as he sent a message to fans via his Instagram. The 19-year-old says he is 'gutted' at how his season has ended.
"Gutted with how my season has ended. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages. I’ll be back stronger than ever in time for the new season. See you all soon, Magpie’s (sic)."

We have concerns over Lewis Miley's fitness
We'd be lying if we said we weren't worried about Miley. He's a phenomenal player, and there is seemingly no limit to his potential. He took to being deployed at right-back like a duck to water, and he plays with a maturity way beyond his years.
However, he seems to be held together with hopes and dreams. Injuries are a part of the game, obviously, but his injuries always seem to be long-term and come from nowhere.
He wouldn't be the first player to have all the talent in the world but have no luck with injuries. Neymar Jr just needs someone to look at him wrong, and his muscles ping off his tendons.
We have to remember that he's still a kid and is still growing, so let's just hope these are all issues due to him still growing while putting his body under immense strain, and it will all work out when he stops growing.
