New kick-off time revealed for Newcastle’s final home game of 2025/26 season
Newcastle United have had another change to their schedule before the season wraps up as West Ham United game changes kick-off time.
The Magpies will take on the Hammers in the final home game of the season at St James' Park on Saturday, 18th May.
Kick-off was originally slated as a traditional 3pm non-televised game, but with West Ham embroiled in a relegation fight (and the potential that by then, Newcastle may have joined them), the game has been selected for live broadcast.
There has been no change to the date; instead, the kick-off has been pushed back to 5:30pm for the Sky Sports cameras, as confirmed by the club's official website.
Three of Newcastle's remaining four games will be shown on live TV
We imagine that's a bit of a kick in the teeth for the West Ham fans who may find it difficult to get back down to London after the later kick-off.
With the final games of the season all kicking off at the same time and all being available to watch on Sky Sports, we can be assured that there'll be no change to our final game of the season away at Fulham, at least.
Saturday's game against Brighton is a standard 3pm non-televised affair, while our game against Nottingham Forest is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday, 10th May, and that will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Newcastle may not get as much screen time next season
Even though Newcastle have been absolutely atrocious to watch this season, they have featured plenty of times on live TV, so our chunk of the broadcast rights should be decent again this year.
The question is, will we get so much screen time next season after being such a drag to watch this year?
We suppose if we make a good start to the campaign, we'll soon be back in the reckoning for a run of live games, so our fans can rest assured, you won't be able to make plans too far in advance again next season, because to the Premier League and the rights holders, your schedule, your time, your life simply doesn't matter.
