PSG set to offer Newcastle three players plus cash for Alexander Isak?
After a flurry of links with Premier League clubs, it seems Alexander Isak is now receiving interest from abroad - at least that's what the French media are claiming on Tuesday morning.
After non-stop rumours linking the Swedish forward to Arsenal in the winter window, it's believed French giants PSG are now preparing to make a move, with a part-exchange offer on the cards.
Newcastle are in a strong position to deal with negotiations, with Isak contracted to the club until 2028 and is likely to be offered a new deal at the end of the season. Newcastle have no need to sell as they did last June, although Champions League qualification may be a big factor for the 25-year-old.
PSG set to launch Isak offer?
According to reports in France out Tuesday morning, PSG are preparing a players-plus-cash offer for Alexander Isak this summer.
French outlet RMC Sport are claiming that the Ligue 1 giants are ready to offer Goncalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani and Marco Asensio as part of a swap deal to sign the Swede, who the Telegraph reported will cost £150m-plus.
Newcastle were linked with Ramos before he switched to Paris from Benfica for €65m (£54m), while Muani was mentioned as a potential target during his prolific spell at Frankfurt.
Asensio has adjusted well to life in England, with four goals in his last three on loan at Aston Villa, who may yet look to sign him on a permanent deal at the end of the season.
All three players are talented in their own right and would add some much-needed depth to our attack, but are unlikely to tempt Newcastle into parting with the highly-rated Isak.
Toon hoping for a favour tomorrow
PSG can do Newcastle a favour in the Champions League Round of 16 with the first leg of their clash with Liverpool coming in Paris on Wednesday night.
The return fixture at Anfield will take place the following Tuesday in the Reds final game before they take on the Toon in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
Hopefully they can give them a tough game and make next week's return leg a tight one, so Liverpool have no choice but to go all out just a few days before final if they wish to win the Champions League.
