Jason Tindall shares Eddie Howe's message to team staff after health scare
Eddie Howe has missed the last two fixtures for Newcastle United and will not be in attendance tonight after falling ill last week and being admitted to Hospital.
Assistant manager Jason Tindall has since taken the reigns and in the two games which he has overseen we have netted nine times and walked away with the two big wins.
The club and supporters are hopeful that Howe will make a quick recovery and be back in the dugout as soon as possible, though his illness has not prevented him from continuing to motivate the staff and players.
Eddie Howe puts full faith in Tindall and team
Regardless of form Howe has been a huge miss in the dugout and the team will no doubt welcome his return whenever that may be.
But having worked alongside each other for 17 years now, Tindall says that the two of them typically know what the other is thinking and not too much has changed since our assistant manager took up the responsibilities of head coach.
In an interview with Sky Sports, the 47-year-old revealed the message that Howe sent to his team after falling ill and the faith that he had in his staff to continue this good run of form and keep performances high in his absence.
When asked by Keith Downie if Howe had faith in Tindall and staff to take over the responsibility, Tindall said:
"That was the message right at the beginning, the first day that he was unable to come to work.
"He put his trust in myself and the rest of the staff and team to be able to make the right decisions day in day out, to hopefully go out and deliver good performances.
"So far the performances have been good and I'm sure he's been very proud."

A win at Villa would all but secure Champions League
Although the wins vs Man United and Crystal Palace were massive, Tindall and his side face a tougher challenge tonight against a top Aston Villa team who are also in the hunt for one of the five Champions League spots.
We currently hold a five point gap over tonight's opponents as well as Chelsea who sit in sixth, and a win against one of our biggest challengers for the top five would all but secure a place in next season's elite competition.
There's still a lot of football to be played with five more games remaining after this, but with home matches against Everton, Ipswich and Chelsea we will certainly fancy our chances to make a return to the tournament.
