Bruno Guimaraes and Joe Willock 'friends again' after on-field spat
Bruno Guimaraes and Joe Willock had an on-field run-in on Sunday as Newcastle United beat West Ham United 3-1 at St James' Park.
In the second half, Joe Willock came off the bench to set up Will Osula's second goal of the game, but the former Arsenal midfielder missed the chance to add to his first assist when he failed to pick out Bruno Guimaraes in the box.
Bruno felt he was in a prime goal-scoring position, but Willock chose to take the ball further before losing possession, something which didn't sit well with the captain.
We don't know what was said by Bruno, but you didn't need a degree in lip-reading to know what Willock's reply was.
Bruno responds to Willock's Instagram post
It was a moment that didn't play very well for Willock with the fans, who saw his tirade as extremely disrespectful towards his captain, and given the gulf in their levels, there was only going to be one winner in the eyes of the fans.
At one point, it looked like Bruno was going to go for Willock and had to be stopped by Dan Burn.
Thankfully, though, all is well again, and the two have made up on social media with Bruno Guimaraes commenting on Joe Willock's Instagram post with "Friends again, great Willockinho" with Willock replying with "My Captain ❤️".

Willock could leave this summer
Tensions often boil over on the pitch. At least it didn't devolve into a Lee Bowyer/Kieron Dyer situation, and it was all resolved by full-time.
Perhaps Bruno knew it wouldn't be worth holding a grudge because Joe Willock won't be here next season. The 26-year-old is thought to be a player who will be sold in the summer if a suitable bid comes in.
Willock never hit the heights his initial loan spell promised, and with some bad injuries in recent seasons, it just makes sense to try and cash in on him while we can.
He will need replacing, though. Our fear going into the summer is that we move so many players on but don't bring as many in, which will leave us even weaker next season. Squad depth is a big issue, and allowing players to leave and replacing one-for-one doesn't fix that.
