Newcastle tease 2026/27 home kit release as sponsor rumour is addressed
Newcastle United's controversial new home kit looks set to be released next week as the club issues a tease on social media.
It looks as though the unpopular barcode design that has been leaked all over the internet is going to be the actual kit for next season.
While Adidas and NUFC are yet to confirm the design, there have been plenty of leaks, including photos and videos from inside stores around the world that suggest that the 'barcode' design is going to be what Newcastle will wear next season.
That has been backed up by barcode designs in the background of the teaser for the upcoming kit launch that was put out by the club on Thursday.

10th June - but WHOOP won’t be on the front
It looks as though the launch will be next week. The tease on X says 10th June at 8am. That's either the launch of the kit or the unveiling, but they are asking fans to register their interest by signing up for the email newsletter.
Meanwhile, The Chronicle have denied that fitness brand WHOOP will be the front-of-shirt sponsor, pouring cold waiter on that theory from earlier in the week.
The club apparently hopes to unveil the new sponsor soon, but it looks as though the new kit will launch with no sponsor on the front, unless the plan is to unveil both together.
A sponsor announcement is due
There's no word yet on who the front-of-shirt sponsor could be, which does suggest that a deal still hasn't been struck.
It's expected that whatever deal Newcastle does end up with will be worth less than the outgoing deal with Sela due to the fact that the market has crashed since gambling companies were banned as front-of-shirt sponsors by the Premier League. It's not helped either by Newcastle's poor campaign and the lack of European football next season.
Our main concern is what the sponsor will look like on the front of our shirts. The blue and white away shirt is a work of art, and a hideous sponsor could really ruin it. On the other hand, we're not sure an ugly sponsor could turn people off the home shirt any more, so at least there's that.
